How To Change IMEI

Hey, lovely viewers, I made this post for those who are using Non-MTK Devices that wants to change IMEI. If you have been following my blog very well you will notice that I have written a tutorial about how to change the IMEI of MTK devices. Today I will like to tell you about how to change IMEI of SAMSUNG, HTC, LG, MOTOROLA, SONY and other Non-MTK Devices without PC. This trick works but it’s a little bit stressful though, but with patience, you will get it done.

How To Change IMEI Of Samsung, HTC, LG:

Requirements:

  • Make sure you have Rooted your android phone. Learn to Root your android phone here.
  • Download and Install Latest Xposed Installer.
  • Download and Install IMEI Changer From Playstore.
  • Non-MTK Devices like Samsung, HTC, Sony, LG e.t.c.

Procedures:

  • Open the Xposed Installer and navigate to FrameWork.
  • It will ask for SuperUser Permission, grant it to let it accomplished its mission.
  • Click on the Install/Update button it will ask for a Reboot, please let it reboot.
  • After Rebooting, Open the application and go to MODULES.
  • You should see your Installed Modules, We are looking for IMEI CHANGER. Just tick it and Reboot.
  • Now that you have finish rebooting go to the IMEI CHANGER application in your menu or app list. Your default IMEI will be written in RED COLOUR, with a bold font so big that even a blind man can see it.

I will advise you to write down the Original IMEI and also make a screenshot of this screen just like mine and save to your SD CARD. Now you have to paste your IMEI in the empty Box and click on APPLY. You don’t need to Reboot your phone to apply the new IMEI just turn ON and OFF the AIRPLANE MODE and you can see your new IMEI applied.

If this works for you do not hesitate to COMMENT below this post. Also, SHARE this posts before leaving. If you are still having problems with the tweaking of your android phone IMEI then kindly COMMENT by putting the model and manufacturer of your android device. Enjoy!.

  20. I use IMEI Changer Pro (paid Version) and it works perfectly as long as you are properly rooted and have the correct version of Xposed installed. Use root checker from the play store once rooted to make sure you done it correctly. Also this isn't a permanent fix but it is one of the only working fixes I know of. You will have to reinstall everything to get it working again if the device is re-flashed for any reason.. Rooting will also trip Knox on most/all device's voiding warranty and minimising the possibility of unblocking/changing your IMEI through a 3rd party unblocking service. One last thing is don't change digits 1 to 8 and digit 15 as they are for identifying the device type/model and firmware version and may prevent it from picking up any signal or connecting to the network if modified, it's just the remaining 6 digits 9 to 14 you need to change which are the carriers serial/identification, the part that gets blocked pretty much.

1- if I change the IMEI, the mobile will be automatically network unlocked? and I can use sim card of other phone company with it?

2- where do I get new IMEI number to change it to?

3- Do I have to get IMEI of the same made and model?

4- does it work with IMEI of other 15-20 years old mobile, different manufacturer?

5- Does it work to change the number randomly?

6- How you can find a number that is not locked to a phone company again.

7- if not worked can I change IMEI back to original

but I could not make it work, perhaps you can help me out,

the rooting part was difficult, I tried many apps but did not work eventually I found a app called "BaiduRoot_2001.apk, it is a chinese app, and it worked, after rooting checked with CPU-Z and it says it has root access.

I downloaded and installed the IMEI changer ver 1.6 from google play,
but I stuck on installing "Xposed installer" app, I tried xposed installer ver 3, 3.2 and 3.3 could not be be installed, asked to upgrade the firmware.

anyhow I installed the older version xposed installer 2.2,
but when I open it and click on input/update it gives "permission denied" error

when I click on module the Imei changer app ver. 1.6 is there but it says: "the module does not specify the xposed version it needs"
